Nammos Hotels & Resorts, the luxury brand behind the original Nammos beach club in Mykonos, has announced its first property in Egypt. The resort - to be called Nammos Ras El Hekma - will be developed in partnership with Modon Holding, the Saudi real estate group overseeing the Ras El Hekma masterplan on Egypt’s North Coast.

The announcement came on 16 July 2026 and marks a significant endorsement of Ras El Hekma as an emerging luxury Mediterranean destination.

What Nammos Ras El Hekma Will Include

The development will comprise 79 hotel keys and 72 branded residences, alongside a signature Nammos beach club - the format the brand pioneered on Mykonos and has since exported to Dubai, Marbella, and other high-end destinations.

The beach club concept is central to the Nammos experience: a premium waterfront venue combining daytime dining, sunbeds, music, and evening events. The Egypt property will be set directly on the Mediterranean, drawing on Ras El Hekma’s long stretches of white sand and turquoise water - a coastline that has been compared favourably to the Greek and Italian riviera.

The Ras El Hekma Masterplan

Ras El Hekma sits roughly 350 kilometres northwest of Cairo on the Mediterranean coast, between Alexandria and Marsa Matruh. The broader development is one of the largest real estate projects in North Africa: a $35 billion masterplan being built out across more than 170 square kilometres of coastline.

Alongside Nammos, the masterplan includes residential zones, retail, and infrastructure anchored by a new international airport. The Ras El Hekma airport is expected to open in Q4 2026, with Emirates, Etihad, Qatar Airways, EgyptAir, and Wizz Air among the airlines that have already indicated routes into the new hub.

A New Destination for Egypt Tourism

Egypt’s established tourist trail - Cairo and the pyramids, Luxor and the Valley of the Kings, the Red Sea resorts around Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh - has long been weighted towards the south. Ras El Hekma represents a deliberate push to develop the North Coast into a year-round Mediterranean resort zone, targeting European visitors who would typically travel to Greece or Turkey.
